Farming Medals/Gems

Gems: The cheapest and easiest way is to farm level 5 NPC with your ballista waves. If you don't care about the resources and just care about gems, you can send the ballista waves at NPCs every 15 minutes and still get gems from them sometimes.

Medals are a little different:

Cross/Rose/Lion: Farm these in level 1-3 Valleys.

To farm a valley, send attacks to land every 10 seconds or so. Once it hits (and captures) the valley, quickly abandon it before the next attack hits so that it re-spawns. Do this until you are bored or until you have the desired amount of medals.

Honor: Farm these in level 4 NPCs mostly with my ballista waves.

Courage/Wisdom/Freedom: Farm these in level 5 NPCs with ballista waves

Justice/Nation: These are the hardest and most expensive to get. The easiest way I found was to attack a level 10 NPC with a normal Hero Leveling wave, and then follow that 100k warriors that will and every 4 minutes afterwards. Any less than 4 minutes and you lower the drop rate, and more than 4 minutes and you increase losses that you will suffer.

Get 8 mil resource within an hour - Advanced Guide

Attacking valleys is a great way to generate resources, but to get resources you have to attack the valley without conquering it. If you attack a valley with your valley slot full then you wont be able to capture the valley but you will get 300-600k resource from that valley.

Again if you capture a valley and then release it then the valley will regenerate the resource and troops within it. Thus you need two cities near a lvl 10 forest or hill.

1) Send 30k archers, 1 work, 1 war, 1 sc, 1 pike, 1 sword, 1 cav, 1 phract from the first city with valley slot full. As the valley slot is full this attack will not be able to capture the valley but will get the resources.

You will get 300 K to 600 K lumber or iron from each attack.

2)Send another attack with 1 scout from the other city (with a open city slot) to capture and abandon the valley. This attack will regenerate the Valley immediately with the source and troops.

The big wave will bounce back, but will loot the valley, then when your scout lands it will capture the valley. Immediately abandon the valley.

Repeat the waves in sequence with camp time of 1 min, then with every attack from the first city you will get you 300 K to 600 K resources reach time.

Farming and Medal Hunting - Recommended Troops - Beginners Guide

Attacking flats and valleys with scouts is a quick way to farm for low level medals.

Recommended troop numbers when attacking flats and valleys with scouts:

Level 2 flat/valley: 200 scouts
Level 3 flat/valley: 300 scouts
Level 4 flat/valley: 500 scouts
Level 5 flat/valley: 1000 scouts

Recommended troop numbers when attacking flats and valleys with warriors only:
Level 1 flat/valley: 75 warriors
Level 2 flat/valley: 125 warriors
Level 3 flat/valley: 250 warriors
Level 4 flat/valley: 400 warriors
Level 5 flat/valley: 850 warriors
Level 6 flat/valley: 2500 warriors
Level 7 flat/valley: 4000 warriors
Level 8 flat/valley: 6000 warriors
Level 9 flat/valley: 10,000 warriors
Level 10 flat/valley: 15,000 warriors

Recommended troop numbers when attacking flats and valleys with archers (we recommend sending archer attacks with one scout, warrior, pike, or swordsman to reduce losses):

When attacking NPC cities, it is recommended to use ballista on levels 1-5 with 100 ballista per level of city. Your archery technology level should be at least one level higher than your horseback riding technology. You will not take any troop losses at all when this is followed. Do not attack NPC cities with ballista beyond level 5 as you will always take losses.

Level 2 NPC city: 200 ballista
Level 3 NPC city: 300 ballista
Level 4 NPC city: 400 ballista
Level 5 NPC city: 500 ballista
As your archery technology goes up, you will be able to use fewer ballista and still get no losses.

Recommended troop numbers when attacking NPC cities with warriors only:
Level 1 NPC city: 1000 warriors
Level 2 NPC city: 2500 warriors
Level 3 NPC city: 10,000 warriors
Level 4 NPC city: 20,000 warriors
Level 5 NPC city: 28,000 warriors
