Heroes - 10 Rules

1. Do not forget about your heroes!

2. Do not use medals to reward your hero. You will need these later. Use gold, and keep them at 100%loyalty.

3. Reward them BEFORE you upgrade, as each upgrade costs you more in salary and rewards.

4. Make sure you select them wisely when recruiting. Each hero should be good at ONE thing only.

5. You should have 1 good politic and 1 good intel hero per city, and the rest should be high on attackpoints.

6. Your Mayor can (and should) be changed around depending on what you are doing. Their attributes affect the time it takes to do certain things around your town. Your mayor will gain xp just by being mayor (although it is slow) so send your mayor on easy attacks to speed up xp growth from time totime.

7. Politic heroes make the best mayors. High politic scores will speed up the production of resources.

8. Intel heroes can be sent with scouts to increase the amount of info you get back. BE CAREFUL though as if your scout/s die, your hero will be lost. Intel heroes shorten the amount of time research will take, so switch your mayor to your intel hero before starting any research, then back to your politic hero once its started.

9. Attack heroes are obviously the most important. You will want their leadership points to eventually be above 85, as this significantly reduces troop losses on attacks. Get as many heroes as soon as you can, and send them on regular attacks to increase xp. You will need multiple heroes in order to send“waves” of attacks (see strategies further down)

10. Your Workshop building allows you to make “gear” for your heroes and further increase their strength, speed and ability. Every 10 levels, your hero can use a new gear level, and increase their power. Research “Charm” and “ring” first, as these are counted twice for some reason (see the gear list to the right in your hero screen). Do not increase star levels until your gear has reached its max level, as each gear upgrade reduces the star level.

Heroes - Beginners Guide

Heroes play a major role in the game. Good heroes can give you major advantage over the opponent players.

Heroes have three attributes politics, intelligence and attack and overall level. Heroes help you gain prestige and honour fast when you set them as mayor.

1. A good politics hero gives you extra resource and reduces building time thus quickly builds up prestige than other players.
2. A good intelligence hero reduce the research time and gets more information in scouting other players city or valleys.
3. A good attack hero minimizes the troop building time and win a battle against stronger opponent player.

Heroes gain experience points by attacking cities and running your own city as mayor. When the hero gains a certain amount of experience points you can upgrade him to next level and he gains an attribute point for each level up. This attribute point can be added to his politics or intelligence or attack. So each level upgrade of a hero improves one of the three attributes. As the hero levels up the experience points needed to reach the next level increases. For example ,
A level 5 hero will need 2500 experience points to move to level 6
A level 6 hero will need 3600 experience points to move to level 7

THE INN - RECRUITING HEROES
The Inn is the primary source of the heroes you can recruit. The number of heroes that come to visit the inn is equal to the level of the inn. Also the level of heroes increases with the increase in level of Inn.

You have to spend more gold to higher level heroes. But remember, higher level heroes do not always mean higher attributes.

So, recruit those heroes who have low levels and high attributes, preferably level 1 heroes with more than 65 in any of the attributes. Also remember recruiting higher level heroes needs more gold and they will consume more gold as salary every hour. So, recruiting higher heroes may make a hole in your gold reserve.

New heroes come to the Inn every hour, so you have to check the Inn regularly.

Some people create a level 1 Inn and repeatedly destroy and rebuild it. So every time you rebuild it you get a completely new hero. This process will halt all other building upgrades.

Some people recruit heroes and dismiss them repeatedly. But this process wastes a lot of gold.

Another way of getting new heroes in the Inn is to click the "refresh" button in the inn. It will consume a "Hero Hunting" Item from your chest and refresh the Inn immediately.

Unfortunately, you get limited number of "Hero Hunting", so this process can not be used many times.

CAPTURING HEROES
Another way of getting heroes is by conquering valleys or cities. Whenever you conquer a valley or an enemy city you will be able to capture the hero who was defending it. If you have empty slot in your feasting Hall, the captured hero will be placed in your feasting hall and he will be shown as "captive" with loyalty as 0. To recruit the captured hero you have to click "Persuade" and award him gold or medals. Medals are required for promotion of your rank, so it is not very good idea to recruit heroes using medals, unless you have a lot of excess medals. So you have to recruit them by spending gold.

Captured heroes from valleys are not very good ones (that's why they got defeated under your attack). However, If you capture a city from a good player it is likely that he will have a good hero.

Hero Attributes - Beginners Guide

Level
A standard hero's level can reach 100. A historic hero can reach level 150.

Experience
This line shows the experience required for your hero to reach his next level. Most of the hero's experience will be gained by fighting. A mayor will also gain experience over time as buildings are built and troops are trained. The green plus icon to the right of experience can be clicked to use items from your shop to add bonus experience.

Politics
This value is used for building within your city and resource production. A high politics value will lower the amount of time it takes to build or upgrade buildings and resource fields and will increase the yield from your resource fields.

Attack
This attribute is used when attacking or defending your city. Also used when training troops. A higher attack value will decrease the amount of time needed to train troops.

Intelligence
This attribute is used when researching technology. A higher intelligence value will decrease the length of time needed to research any technology.

Loyalty
Measures how loyal a hero is to you. Maximum value is 100. A lower loyalty value increases the changes of your hero being captured in battle.

Leadership
Leadership is equal to the level of your hero. Maximum value is 100 for a standard hero. Your hero is able to effectively control as many troops as his loyalty level x 1000.

Speed
Speed is the bonus movement ability of your hero. This number is dictated by the mount gear equipped on the hero.

Attribute
These points can be added to politics, attack and intelligence. You get +1 attribute for each level your hero is upgraded.

Energy
Energy is used up whenever a hero does any action outside of your city. The hero will not be able to perform any further actions when energy reaches zero. Energy regenerates over time, and it takes 8 hours for full regeneration.

Salary
Salary is 200 gold x the hero's level.

'Redistribute' Button
Clicking the redistribute button will remove any attribute points that have been added to politics, attack or intelligence at a cost of 1 x Holy Water per ten levels of your hero. You will then be able to reallocate those attribute points.

'Reward' Button
This button is used to add loyalty to your hero. Loyalty can only be increased on each hero once per 15 minutes.

'Dismiss' Button
This button is used to remove a hero from your feasting hall.

'Rename' Button
Used to rename your hero.

'Upgrade' Button
This button is used to increase the level of your hero. It will turn from gray to gold when available. Always click the save button after upgrading your hero to apply changes.

'Appoint Mayor' Button
Use this button to appoint your hero as mayor of your city.

'One Click Change' Button
This button is used to select the gear that your hero will have equipped. Your hero can be equipped with starting at level 10.
